Update for Writers

In order to assure the sustainability of this project, I'm obliged to adjust how and how much we pay writers.

Staring today, November 1, 2019, Delicious Line will pay $25 for accepted submissions. To receive payment, writers must have a working account at PayPal. Since we are paying for services, PayPal will deduct a fee for the transaction, which will reduce that $25 amount somewhat. (The usual fee is a little over a dollar. The exact amount can be determined at PayPal.) While the use of PayPal incurs a cost, it will keep administrative overhead down, as most of our donations come through PayPal to begin with. Also, I hope to program an integration of deliciousline.org with the PayPal API so that writers can get paid automatically within 24 hours of being published, and receive the money instantly.

Submissions accepted prior to November 1, 2019 will be paid as before, at $40 per piece, via our account at Eastern Bank.

Please note that it is an option to donate writing to Delicious Line. Donated writings will be handled editorially like any other submission. If you'd like to receive a letter thanking you for your in-kind donation, please contact me at the address below.
